Alaa was born and raised in Southern California. Alaa was the youngest of four children and the son of a hard working loving father and a caring stay at home mother. As a kid, Alaa grew up around a blue collar family and learned what it meant to work hard and to be relentless at a young age. Nothing was easy, everything had to be earned. Alaa credits his loving parents’ work ethic for his success in life and in the courtroom.
Alaa “Al” Yasin is a trial attorney on the rise who has enjoyed many successes on behalf of injured people in California by staggering results since joining the Dordick Law Corporation in 2017. Mr. Yasin has handled exclusively some of the most complex and catastrophic personal injury cases across the state. In 2017, Mr. Yasin handled the matter of Silvas v. San Joaquin Community Hospital et al. and obtained a $5,000,000 settlement. In 2018, Mr. Yasin effectuated a settlement in the amount of $1,750,000 on a very difficult construction wrongful death case on behalf of three minor children.
In 2018, Mr. Yasin success’ grew as he obtained a $2,000,000 settlement in Garcia v. King Kong Productions, Inc., Also, in 2018, Mr. Yasin handled the matter of Ascencio v. City of Covina, which resulted in a $7,000,000 jury verdict in the Los Angeles Superior Court. This matter involved a 21 year old decedent that was killed on his motorcycle when a City employee driving a city utility vehicle ran a stop sign and into the path of the decedent instantly killing him. This was the seventh highest verdict in the State of California for motor vehicle accident cases during that year.
In 2019, Mr. Yasin handled the matter of Hayes v. Long Beach et al., where his hard work and dedication helped obtain a settlement in the amount of $5,000,000. Also in 2019, Mr. Yasin tried the matter of Bibbie v. Postulka et al. for three weeks in Riverside Superior Court where he obtained a jury verdict in the amount of $3,300,000. Liability was denied through the entire duration of the case until Mr. Yasin and his team put the case on for trial and in the hands of the jury.
So far, 2019 has been a busy year for Mr. Yasin. He was also nominated by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers in California.
Mr. Yasin is a member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in the State of California. He is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), American Bar Association, Los Angeles County and Orange County Bar Associations, Arab American Lawyers of Southern California, American Association For Justice (AAJ), and the National Trial Lawyers.
